3M Aluminum Foil Tape 427 is a versatile foil tape designed for a wide range of industrial applications. It features a dead soft aluminum foil backing combined with a high-performance pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. This tape is suitable for heat shielding and reflecting, chemical masking, light enhancement, chemical milling, seaming, sealing, and de-painting operations. It is ideal for heat shielding of delicate components, moisture barriers, light reflection for lighting applications, chemical masking during paint stripping, and attaching refrigerator and freezer coils. Additionally, it can be used for splicing thin gauge foils and providing plastic protection. The tape comes in a size of 0.5 inches by 5 yards per roll, with a silver color, a thickness of 0.0046 inches, and a polyester backing with a silicone/rubber blend adhesive. Custom widths or configurations are available upon request.
