The 3M 7700/16 100'SF series is a round conductor flat controlled impedance ribbon cable featuring 16 conductors. Each conductor is made of 30 AWG solid tinned copper, insulated with a polyolefin jacket laminated with a flexible foil to ensure a characteristic impedance of approximately 95 ohms (±5 ohms). This cable supports low-voltage differential signaling, making it suitable for applications such as high-speed data transfer, automated test equipment, and wire-to-board connections. It is flexible, foldable, and designed to minimize performance loss even when bent tight. The cable can support data rates up to 14Gbps when terminated with IDC connectors and up to 20Gbps when used as a cable only. It features programmable differential pairs, grounds, and power lines, and adheres to safety standards with a withstand voltage of 750VAC, insulation resistance exceeding 1×10^9 ohms at 500VDC, and a voltage rating of 30VAC (UL & cUL). The typical operating temperature range is from -20°C to 80°C. It is available in a 100-foot length with splice-free conductors, suitable for industrial, communication, networking, and automated testing applications.
