The CA7027 Fault Mapper Pro® is a handheld graphical Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) designed for locating faults in power and communication cables using only one accessible end. It measures cable length and identifies faults such as opens, shorts, taps, splices, impedance mismatches, and wet or damaged cables. The device supports cable lengths up to 19,000 feet (6,000 meters) across various types, including twisted pair, parallel, and coaxial cables. It features adjustable velocity of propagation (Vp) settings between 1% and 99% for accurate calibration, a high-visibility backlit display, an oscillating tone tracer for cable identification, multiple range scales, and selectable cable impedance options (25Ω, 50Ω, 75Ω, 100Ω). The Fault Mapper Pro® is suitable for troubleshooting, cable length measurement, fault detection, and cable tracing in telecommunications, electrical installations, and maintenance environments.
