The MD301 is a rugged and versatile general-purpose 500A current probe designed for ease of use. It features unique hook-shaped jaws that allow users to easily latch onto cables, with a maximum conductor size of 2 x 500 kcmil. Operating as a traditional current transformer with a ratio of 1000:1, it provides a millivolt DC (mVDC) output suitable for recorders, loggers, and other instruments with mVDC inputs. The output termination is a double-insulated 5-foot lead with safety banana plugs. Ideal for electrical utility, HVAC/R, industrial maintenance, laboratory, and plant maintenance applications.
