EcoGen EcoCable Mini is a recyclable, halogen-free cable developed by Alpha Wire to meet the demands for smaller and lighter 300V electrical cables. It features mPPE insulation and jacketing, making it 32% smaller and 44% lighter than standard PVC cables while offering better performance and reduced environmental impact. The cable’s compact size and low weight facilitate easier routing and installation, saving time during manufacturing and maintenance. It is suitable for power and signal transmission in medical devices and other applications where space and weight are critical. The cable demonstrates up to 92% lower outgassing compared to PVC control cables, reducing corrosion and contamination. It has a bend radius ten times its diameter, is made with 100% recyclable mPPE insulation and jacketing, and contains no halogens, phthalates, or heavy metals. The conductors are finely stranded tinned copper for enhanced flexibility. Operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, it is approved under UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, REACH, and WEEE standards. Typical applications include medical equipment, audio, communications, consumer electronics, lighting, maintenance, motor control, sensing, system monitoring, and testing.
