The 79255 SL005 is a 10-core shielded cable featuring tinned copper conductors and a multi-polypropylene (mPPE) insulator. It has a slate-colored mPPE jacket combined with an aluminium/polyester/aluminium Supra-Shield® foil and a tinned copper braid shield with at least 70% coverage. This cable is part of the EcoFlex® line, designed for enhanced flexibility and environmental friendliness. It uses mPPE insulation and jacket that are recyclable, halogen-free, and free of phthalates and heavy metals. The EcoFlex® cables are up to 32% smaller and 55% lighter than PVC-insulated cables, offer up to 91% lower outgassing, and are suitable for NFPA 79 applications. The cable can withstand a maximum pull tension of 42 lbs and features nominal electrical characteristics such as 47 pF/ft ground capacitance and 0.18 µH/ft inductance.
