The Digilent Digital Discovery is a compact, versatile embedded development instrument that combines a 24-channel digital logic analyzer and a 16-channel pattern generator. It supports logic analysis at speeds up to 800MS/s and pattern generation at 100MS/s, suitable for CMOS levels ranging from 1.2V to 3.3V. The device features 16 virtual digital I/O channels with buttons, switches, and LEDs for training applications, as well as two digital trigger inputs/outputs for instrument linking. It includes a programmable power supply (1.2V to 3.3V, 100mA) and supports digital bus analysis for protocols like SPI, I²C, UART, and parallel interfaces. Designed for embedded design and development, it is portable with its small form factor and can be connected via simple wires or advanced high-speed adapters with impedance-matched probes. The package includes the Digital Discovery unit, wire assemblies, and a USB cable, and it operates with free WaveForms software. Note: To achieve sampling rates above 200MS/s, a high-speed adapter is required.
