The Honeywell HOA0708/0709 series is a reflective sensor comprised of an infrared emitting diode and either a phototransistor (HOA0708-001, -011) or photodarlington (HOA0709-001, -011). Encased in a black thermoplastic housing, this sensor responds to radiation from the IRED when a reflective object is within its field of view. It includes an ambient light filter to minimize interference and is commonly used in industrial automation, security systems, and object detection applications.
