The 1414E is a clamp-enclosure with a lift-off cover, designed for use as instrument housings, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic control boxes, electrical junction boxes, or terminal wiring enclosures. It offers protection against falling dirt, dust, oil, and water, meeting IP54 and NEMA 12 and 13 standards. The enclosure features a 16 or 14 gauge steel body and a 14 gauge steel cover, with smooth, continuously welded seams that lack knockouts, cut-outs, or holes. Welded brackets facilitate mounting, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket ensures a secure seal. Internal threaded weld studs allow for inner panel mounting, and a bonding stud on the door along with a grounding stud in the enclosure facilitate grounding. The removable inner panel is finished in white powder coating. The cover is secured with stainless steel clamps and plated steel screws, and is retained with a plated chain when open.
