The 1414SCC is a lift-off, mild steel junction box designed for use as instrument enclosures, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic control housings, and terminal wiring enclosures. It offers protection against dirt, dust, oil, and water. The enclosure features a phosphatized finish with ANSI 61 grey powder coating, and a removable inner panel coated in white. Made from 14 or 16 gauge steel with a 14 gauge steel cover, it has smooth, welded seams without knockouts or holes. The welded mounting brackets facilitate installation, and the cover is secured with captive, plated steel screws threaded into sealed wells. Oil-resistant gaskets are permanently attached. Internal threaded weld studs allow for mounting inner panels, while a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud inside the enclosure ensure electrical safety. Suitable for industrial applications, this enclosure has a NEMA 12 and 13 protection rating.
