This is a surface mounting socket outlet featuring a stylish and impact-resistant metal construction suitable for various applications including factories, workshops, plant rooms, warehouses, schools, hospitals, garages, and sheds. It is equipped with in-line terminals for easier cable connection, with terminal screws that are backed out and held captive for quick installation. The socket is made from heavy gauge steel with durable epoxy/polyester and metallic powder paint coatings. The socket inserts are constructed from polycarbonate/ABS thermoplastic with a robust two-piece design. It is rigorously tested to meet high standards of toughness and durability. The product supports double pole earthing for clean earth installations (except model PL01195), and fits into 47mm deep boxes with 20mm knockouts on the rear, sides, and top/bottom. It features double pole switching on switched sockets, with the neutral breaking first and reconnecting last. Manufactured to comply with BS 5733, BS 1363, and Regulation 607 of BS 7671 IEE wiring regulations.
