The CGE6E18H5F-B-03 connectors are high-current, low-voltage electrical connectors designed for demanding applications such as military land and sea vehicles and industrial facilities. They conform to the VG 95234 standards for mating dimensions, mechanical features, and rear panel installation. These connectors feature ultraflexible, shielded weld cables terminated to the device, with a robust aluminum shell finished with a chromate coating over cadmium for corrosion resistance. The connectors operate effectively within a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to +257°F). They incorporate copper or copper alloy contacts with a hard silver finish, suitable for crimping or connecting to solid copper conductors using threaded bolts. Designed for a minimum of 500 mating cycles, the contacts accept wires from 25 to 240 sq. mm as per DIN 46438 standards. Mechanical retention is provided by a two-piece insulator fixed with a snap-in ring, allowing easy contact exchange. The bayonet coupling mechanism ensures quick and secure connection, with color-coded snap-in points indicating proper mating. When mated, the connectors are waterproof up to 1 bar (equivalent to 35 feet of water).
