Designed with a multilayer structure, they provide high capacitance, various voltage ratings, and reliable performance over a wide temperature range. Ideal for use in high frequency power converters, snubbers, resonators in switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and high voltage coupling or DC blocking. They exhibit low equivalent series resistances (ESR) at high frequencies. Larger physical dimensions are used to accommodate high voltage ratings, with capacitance values ranging from 10pF to 0.1μF. Available in numerous case sizes including 0805, 1206, 1210, 1808, 1812, 1825, 2220, 2225, and 3640, with rated voltages from 600V to 5000V DC. Capacitance tolerances are ±5%, ±10%, or ±20%. Terminations are available in nickel/tin or palladium/silver plating. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +125°C, with a temperature coefficient of ±30ppm/°C at 0VDC.
