The DS1220AD-150+ is a 16K (16,384 bits) non-volatile static RAM in a 24-pin EDIP package. It is organized as 2,048 words by 8 bits and features an integrated lithium energy source and control circuitry that monitors the supply voltage for out-of-tolerance conditions. If such a condition occurs, the lithium battery is automatically activated to protect data, and write protection is enabled to prevent corruption. The battery remains disconnected until power is applied, ensuring data retention without power. The device can replace standard 2K x 8 SRAMs and matches the pin configurations of 2716 EPROM and 2816 EEPROM for easy direct substitution, providing enhanced performance. It supports unlimited write cycles without additional interface circuitry. Key features include a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V, operating temperature from 0°C to 70°C, a minimum of 10-year data retention without external power, automatic data protection during power loss, low power CMOS technology, and a read/write access time of 150ns. Write protection is enabled at voltages above 4.37V. Its low input/output capacitance is 5pF. Typical applications include embedded design and development. Delivery may be delayed due to market demand, and the product is exempt from discounts.
