The Megger 1005-263 offers a wide range of insulation testing solutions suitable for various applications. It features unique locking high-voltage-insulated plugs, non-detachable clips designed for safety with capacitance, and options for screening in high noise environments. The device is equipped with high-quality silicone double-insulated cables, ensuring durability and safety during testing. Safety Warnings: Before making insulation test connections, ensure the circuit under test is powered off, de-energized, and properly isolated. Do not re-energize the circuit while the instrument is connected. Avoid touching circuit connections during testing. After completing the test, capacitive circuits must be fully discharged before disconnecting the test leads, as stored charges can be lethal. Tested components should be shorted with a shorting link after discharge to prevent stored dielectric absorption charges from creating hazardous voltages. Ensure all test leads, including crocodile clips, are in good condition—clean, dry, and free from damage. Damaged leads should not be used. Please note that these accessories do not provide complete safety isolation; safe working practices are essential. The clips are designed for clamping onto larger test pieces in limited space and are intended only to protect the user from outputs of Megger insulation testers at 5 kV, 10 kV, and 15 kV levels. They cannot be relied upon for protection against live systems above 600 V AC in a CAT IV environment or above 1000 V AC in a CAT III environment.
