The Murata BLM18HD series are EMIFIL chip ferrite beads designed to suppress high-frequency noise in GHz-range high-speed signal lines. These compact, EIA 0603-sized components effectively reduce resonance and prevent signal distortion without requiring ground connection, making them ideal for circuits lacking stable ground lines. The ferrite beads feature a nickel barrier on external electrodes for enhanced solder heat resistance and a modified internal electrode structure that minimizes stray capacitance, extending their effective frequency range. They provide high impedance at 1GHz and are suitable for noise suppression between 500MHz and several GHz, with a sharper roll-off after the cutoff frequency. They are also magnetically shielded to minimize crosstalk and operate across a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. Typical applications include industrial, power management, consumer electronics, and portable devices.
