The InnoSwitch™ 3-Pro series is a digitally controllable off-line CV/CC QR flyback switcher IC with an integrated high-voltage switch, synchronous rectification, and FluxLink feedback. This family of ICs simplifies the development and manufacturing of fully programmable, highly efficient power supplies, especially in compact enclosures. Featuring a universal I²C interface, it allows for dynamic control of output voltage and current along with numerous configurable features. The InnoSwitch3-Pro devices are ideal for AC/DC power supply applications requiring precise (10mV, 50mA) output voltage and current adjustments. The uVCC pin supplies bias to microprocessors in standalone designs such as USB PD adapters and chargers. These controllers are suitable for high-efficiency USB PD 3.0+PPS/QC adapters, multi-protocol adapters (QuickCharge, AFC, FCP, SCP), direct-charge mobile device chargers, multi-chemistry battery chargers, and LED ballasts with adjustable constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC). They support output power of up to 45W (adapter) and 50W (open-frame) at 230VAC, and 40W (adapter) and 45W (open-frame) across 85-265VAC. Features include multi-mode QR/DCM/CCM flyback control, secondary-side sensing, synchronous rectifier driver, EcoSmart energy efficiency, advanced safety protections, dynamic voltage and current adjustment, integrated FluxLink feedback, open-source S/R FET gate detection, hysteretic thermal shutdown, programmable watchdog timer, and reinforced isolation (>4000VAC). The devices support instantaneous transient response, telemetry for status and fault monitoring, operate with less than 30mW no-load power including line sensing, and exhibit low heat dissipation. UL1577 and TUV safety approvals are included, with 100% HIPOT testing.
