The RailClamp series ultra-low capacitance TVS array is designed to protect high-speed data interfaces from overvoltage events such as electrostatic discharge (ESD), cable discharge events (CDE), and electrical fast transients (EFT). It features a typical capacitance of only 0.50pF between pins 1 and 2, making it suitable for circuits operating above 3GHz without signal attenuation. The device complies with IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 ESD immunity standards (±15kV air, ±8kV contact discharge). Each device can be configured to protect one bidirectional line or two unidirectional lines, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. Its small size, low capacitance, and high level of ESD protection make it suitable for use in HDMI, USB 2.0, antenna circuits, MDDI, InfiniBand, automatic test equipment, and similar high-speed data connections. The device uses solid-state silicon-avalanche technology, offers low leakage current and clamping voltage, and operates reliably over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. It is designed to replace polymer TVS diodes and provides robust, space-efficient ESD protection for various electronic applications.
