The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors that combine power switching and accurate, reliable circuit protection with inverse time delays and trip-free features. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. Available in various versions and with adjustable delays, the AP series is designed to meet specific application requirements. A key feature is the “trip free” action, which ensures the circuit opens even when the handle is held in the ON position. The AP series is suitable for communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, offers similar functionality and is approved for operation at various voltage and current levels. The AP-MIL protectors, produced to MIL-PRF-39019, undergo rigorous testing and are available in multiple pole configurations with or without auxiliary contacts.
