The Airpax AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors designed to combine power switching with accurate and reliable circuit protection. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. These protectors offer inverse time delays and a “trip-free” action, ensuring the circuit opens even when the handle is held in the ON position. They are suitable for communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The AP/UP series, with UL and CSA certifications, is available in single-pole units and offers an optional FM approval for petrochemical applications. The AP-MIL protectors adhere to MIL-PRF-39019 standards and undergo rigorous testing to maintain their Qualified Products Listing (QPL). Multi-pole configurations allow for complex circuit protection schemes, such as series breakers, shunt configurations, and relay circuits.
