The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors designed to combine power switching with accurate and reliable circuit protection. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current regardless of temperature fluctuations. These protectors offer inverse time delays and a trip-free feature, enhancing safety and preventing continued power flow during overloads. Available in DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with various delay options, the AP series caters to specific application requirements. Typical applications include communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, offers similar functionality and is approved for operation at various voltage and current levels. The AP-MIL protectors, produced to MIL-PRF-39019 standards, undergo rigorous testing to maintain their Qualified Products Listing (QPL).
