The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors that combine power switching and accurate, reliable circuit protection with inverse time delays and trip-free features. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. Available in various versions and with adjustable delays, the AP series is suitable for diverse applications. The 'trip-free' action ensures the circuit opens even if the handle is held in the ON position. Waterproof integrity is achieved through an O-ring bushing seal and a silicon rubber gland. These protectors are commonly used in communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, offers similar functionality and is available with an optional FM approval for petrochemical applications. AP-MIL protectors adhere to MIL-PRF-39019 standards and undergo rigorous testing for quality assurance.
