The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors designed to combine power switching and accurate, reliable circuit protection. Featuring inverse time delays and trip-free features, these protectors offer a robust solution for various industrial applications. Unlike thermal circuit protectors, the AP series maintains a consistent trip current over a wide temperature span, ensuring reliable performance. Available in DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with various delays, the AP series can be tailored to specific application requirements. The “trip free” action prevents the circuit from remaining closed even when the handle is held in the ON position, enhancing safety. Typical applications include communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, offers similar functionality and is approved for operation at various voltage and current levels. For petrochemical applications, an optional FM approval is available. The AP-MIL protectors, produced according to MIL-PRF-39019, undergo rigorous testing to maintain their Qualified Products Listing (QPL).
