The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors designed to combine power switching with accurate and reliable circuit protection. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. These protectors are available in DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with various delay options to suit specific application needs. A key feature is the “trip-free” action, which prevents the circuit from remaining closed even when the handle is held in the ON position. The AP series offers waterproof panel integrity through an O-ring bushing seal and a silicon rubber gland. They are commonly used in communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, is similar in construction and operating principle, approved for operation at various voltage and amperage levels. The AP-MIL protectors adhere to MIL-PRF-39019 standards and undergo rigorous testing for quality assurance. Available in one, two, and three-pole configurations with or without auxiliary contacts.
