The Airpax AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors that combine power switching and accurate, reliable circuit protection with inverse time delays and trip-free features. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. Available in various DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with adjustable delays, the AP series is suitable for diverse applications including communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The 'trip-free' action prevents the circuit from remaining closed during an overload, even with the handle in the ON position. The AP/UP series offers UL recognition and CSA certification, with an optional FM approval for petrochemical applications.
