The Airpax™ AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors that combine power switching and accurate, reliable circuit protection with inverse time delays and trip-free features. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current regardless of temperature. Available in various DC, 50/60Hz, or 400Hz versions with adjustable delays, the AP series is designed to meet specific application requirements. The 'trip-free' action ensures the circuit won't remain closed during an overload, even with the handle in the ON position. Waterproof integrity is maintained through an O-ring bushing seal and a silicon rubber gland. Typical applications include communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series offers UL recognition and CSA certification, while AP-MIL protectors adhere to MIL-PRF-39019 standards.
