The 2401 series mechanical heavy-duty measuring unit is designed for dual measuring wheels to ensure better stability and contact. Mounted on a frame or bulkhead, this rugged instrument is suitable for applications requiring precise length measurement, such as calendars, tensioners, rolling machines, ribbon winders, textile machinery, and various continuous manufacturing processes. The 2401 (single wheel) model features a mounted or hung configuration using a supplied stay rod measuring 17.99 inches (457 mm), with an adjustable hinge allowing positioning at any angle. It includes the 3602 counter and measuring wheel, a rubber-covered plastic wheel with a 12-inch diameter, and a measuring counter with a stand, stay rod, and mounting bracket. The device allows feet and inches reading, which can be tilted out of the way when not in use. Its weight ensures consistent contact with the material being measured. The system features a 6-digit, 0.25-inch (6.4 mm) display, a maximum travel speed of 3000 RPM, and an accuracy of ±1%.
