Magnetic-inductive proximity switches are activated by magnetic fields and can detect permanent magnets through non-ferromagnetic materials such as wood, plastic, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, or stainless steel. Turck magnetic field sensors achieve a particularly high switching distance using actuation magnets. Available in various sizes and versions, these sensors offer versatile detection options, especially in applications with limited mounting space or challenging conditions. The sensors feature a metal housing made of SrFe. They can attain a maximum switching distance of approximately 90 mm with models like EM12E, M18, and G12SK, and about 78 mm with models such as EH6.5, EG08, and M12-S1209, depending on the model.
