The EJ443 is a mild steel junction box designed for enclosing electrical and electronic equipment while providing protection against harsh environments. The box features a sleek design with a powder-coated finish in ANSI 61 smooth grey, both inside and out. It complies with NEMA ratings 3R, 4, 12, and 13, offering robust protection. Constructed from 16-gauge formed steel, it includes seamless welded seams without knockouts or holes, and a formed lip to prevent the ingress of liquids and contaminants. The enclosure is mounted using 14 AWG welded brackets. The hinged cover features 304 stainless steel hinges allowing 180° opening and is secured with quarter-turn black zinc die-cast latches requiring a tool for opening, enhancing safety. A poured-in-place gasket ensures a tight seal. Larger models, exceeding 4x4 inches, include a removable galvanized inner panel. Internal threaded weld studs facilitate the mounting of inner panels, with grounding and panel mounting hardware included.
