The 5KP series Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diode is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients caused by lightning strikes and other transient events. It is suitable for safeguarding I/O interfaces, VCC buses, and other vulnerable circuits. Features include a 5000W peak pulse power capability at a 10x1000µs waveform, a glass-passivated junction for reliability, excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, and a low duty cycle of 0.01%. The device has a working voltage of 12V IR and provides ESD protection according to IEC 61000-4-2 as well as EFT protection as per IEC 61000-4-4. It is available in both unidirectional and bidirectional versions and operates across a temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
