The PIC16F630-I/SL is an 8-bit Flash-based CMOS microcontroller featuring one comparator and 128 bytes of EEPROM data memory. It includes a watchdog timer controlled by configuration bits and operates on its own RC oscillator for enhanced reliability. The device has two timers: the Oscillator Start-up Timer (OST), which keeps the microcontroller in reset until the crystal oscillator stabilizes, and the Power-up Timer (PWRT), providing a nominal delay of 72 milliseconds during power-up to allow voltage stabilization. Additionally, it has circuitry for brown-out reset, offering at least 72 milliseconds of reset time. These integrated features typically eliminate the need for external reset components in most applications.
