OHMITE's 280 Series Corrib[®] Fixed and Adjustable Vitreous Enamel Power Resistors are engineered for applications requiring high currents at very low resistance values. These heavy-duty resistors are designed to withstand frequent start-stop cycles common in motor starting, dynamic braking, and similar applications. The corrugated resistive wire is securely fused to a ceramic core with a protective vitreous enamel coating, enhancing durability and promoting rapid cooling. Hollow-core design allows for secure mounting to chassis surfaces. RoHS compliant versions are available by adding an “E” suffix to the part number.
