The TE Connectivity SLT-7X is a controlled soldering device specifically engineered for the termination of tin or silver-plated copper shields on cables. This heat-shrinkable sleeve utilizes a radiation cross-linked modified polyvinylidene fluoride insulation sleeve, ensuring excellent electrical insulation and environmental protection. The device incorporates a solder preform with flux (TYPE Cd18 and TYPE ROL1 respectively) and meltable sealing rings (thermally stabilized thermoplastic) to create a robust and reliable termination. Suitable for applications requiring secure and shielded cable connections, the SLT-7X operates effectively within a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. For optimal application, refer to Raychem's technical service for tooling recommendations.
