The Airpax AP series are fully sealed, magnetic circuit protectors designed to combine power switching with accurate and reliable circuit protection. Unlike thermal protectors, the AP maintains a consistent trip current across a wide temperature range. These protectors offer inverse time delays and a “trip-free” action, ensuring the circuit opens even when the handle is held in the ON position. They are suitable for communication, navigation, aircraft instrumentation, radar, and power supplies. The UP series, with UL and CSA certification, is available for single-pole applications and offers an optional FM approval for petrochemical environments. AP-MIL protectors adhere to MIL-PRF-39019 standards and undergo rigorous testing for quality assurance. Multi-pole configurations allow for customized protection of multiple circuits, with options for series breakers, shunt configurations, and auxiliary contacts.
