The A103-001 is a versatile counting instrument designed for advanced totalization applications. It features an input scale factor to convert pulses into meaningful engineering units and has dual input channels for add/subtract counting. The device includes an 8-digit supertwist LCD display for easy reading, with optional backlighting via an external 10-28V DC power supply for low-light conditions. It supports various input types, including NPN and dry contact signals for low-speed counting up to 30Hz, as well as PNP or square wave signals for high-speed counting up to 10kHz. Powered by one or two replaceable 3V lithium batteries, it maintains count and program data even during battery replacement. The unit's NEMA 4X front panel and IEC 801 level 3 noise immunity make it suitable for harsh environments, and it can be used with matching indicators and models featuring preset outputs for control, timing, and rate measurement.
