The CGE6E18H5Z-B-03 connectors are high-current, low-voltage electrical connectors designed for military land and sea vehicles as well as industrial applications. They conform to VG 95234 standards for mating dimensions, mechanical features, and rear panel installation. These connectors are suitable for ultraflexible, shielded weld cables, which are terminated to the connectors. They feature a single contact within a two-piece rigid insulator, and the aluminum shells have a chromate finish over cadmium for corrosion resistance. Operating across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to +257°F), the contacts are made of copper or copper alloy with a hard silver finish, and are designed for crimping or termination to solid copper conductors using threaded bolts. They offer a minimum of 500 mating cycles and accept wires per DIN 46438 standards (25-240 sq. mm). Contact retention is achieved via a two-piece insulator fixed to the shell with a snap-in ring, allowing easy replacement of crimp contacts. The bayonet coupling mechanism provides quick and secure mating and unmating, with color-coded snap-in points indicating proper connection. When mated, the connectors are waterproof up to 1 bar (equivalent to 35 feet of water).
