The DS1708ESA+ is a 5V MicroMonitor integrated circuit housed in an 8-pin NSOIC package. It monitors critical conditions for a microprocessor's power supply, including voltage sense, power-fail detection, and external override via a pushbutton. The device features a precision, temperature-compensated reference and comparator circuit to supervise VCC at the device and upstream, providing maximum protection. It generates a non-maskable interrupt when out-of-tolerance voltage is detected and asserts a reset signal during power failure, which remains active for at least 130ms after voltage recovers to ensure system stabilization. Additionally, it debounces the pushbutton reset input with a minimum active reset pulse of 130ms. The supply voltage range is from 1.2V to 5.5V, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The MicroMonitor prevents microprocessor operation during power transients, automatically restarts the microprocessor after power failures, and simplifies system design by eliminating the need for discrete components. It has a VCC trip point of 4.4V and a reset accuracy of approximately 10%.
Secure your system's stability by purchasing the Dallas DS1708ESA+ MicroMonitor online. This advanced 5V device continuously monitors power conditions, detects out-of-tolerance voltages, and generates reliable resets to protect microprocessors during power transients. Featuring a precision, temperature-compensated reference, it provides quick system response with a minimum 130ms reset hold time after power returns. Easy to install with an 8-pin NSOIC package, it simplifies system design by eliminating discrete components, ensuring seamless operation and system longevity.
