The Pico-SPOX 1.5 tin (Sn) discrete wire cable assemblies are off-the-shelf (OTS) solutions designed for both prototyping and preproduction. They utilize popular terminals, making it easy to access crimp applicators widely available in the market. The assembly features a vertical and right-angle single-row header with a friction lock mechanism that provides latch protection, ensuring secure terminal retention. The 1.5mm pitch connector offers reliable mating retention with a compact design, providing approximately 30% space savings compared to traditional 2mm wire-to-board connectors. Suitable applications include consumer electronics, industrial automation, and MedTech. The 218396 series Pico-SPOX-to-Pico-SPOX cable assemblies include readily available tooling and an SMT-type plug header for automated assembly. They incorporate a friction lock for enhanced mating retention and polarization keys to prevent mismating during assembly. Certified by UL (E29179) and CSA (LR 19980), these assemblies support a maximum voltage of 250VAC and a maximum current of 2.5A per contact. They utilize 24AWG UL 10002 wire/cable, with nylon housing, phosphor bronze contacts with tin plating, and natural-colored resin. These assemblies are rated for up to 10 cycles and operate within a temperature range of -10°C to +105°C.
