The 3425-6000 is a 50-position, two-row wire-to-board socket with a 0.100 x 0.100-inch pitch, designed for 0.050-inch pitch cables. It features gold-plated copper alloy contacts, a glass-filled polyester (PBT) insulator, and is compatible with 28/26 AWG solid and stranded wires. The socket includes an open end cover for daisy chaining or bussing, military-style polarization with dual slots, and does not offer strain relief. It mates with 3M headers, plugs, and pin strips to facilitate quick connect/disconnect operations. The transfer adhesive on the covers ensures precise alignment for high-yield terminations. It is an industry-standard IDC socket with positive locking metal 'J' clips for high cover retention, accepts flat cables or discrete wires, and is gray in color. It has a UL94V-0 flammability rating and maintains an insulation resistance of over 1 GΩ at 500VDC. This product is intended for industrial, defense, military, and aerospace applications.
