The Mini PV series high-durability and high-retention Wire-to-Board Connector System is designed to connect discrete wires to printed circuit boards. It features high-reliability dual-metal receptacle terminals that plug into industry-standard 0.025-inch square posts. The system offers various containment, protection, and guidance options on both sides of the connector interface. Wire-side PV® receptacle terminals can be terminated to wire independently or inserted into multiple-circuit MINI-LATCH connector housings with optional polarizing keys. The printed circuit side includes shrouded, multiple-post headers with an integral friction feature that securely grips the mating MINI-LATCH housings, reducing disengagement risk. Users can select from three different spring pressures to customize insertion and withdrawal forces. The PV® receptacle contacts maintain contact pressure after up to 1000 mating cycles, supported by a beryllium copper spring that provides high normal force. Brass contact bodies ensure gas-tight, reliable crimp terminations. MINI-LATCH housings firmly retain PV® wire contacts, with keyed housings and header keyways offering polarization to prevent mis-mating. The two-wall header design provides mechanical benefits and cost efficiency. This connector operates reliably within a temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, making it suitable for various applications including consumer electronics, sensing and instrumentation, medical devices, defense, military and aerospace, communications and networking, and industrial uses.
