The DS1813-5+ is a 5V EconoReset device housed in a 3-pin TO-92 package. It is designed to monitor the power supply (VCC) and detect out-of-tolerance conditions, alerting the processor system of a potential power failure. The device utilizes a precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit to monitor power supply status. When a fault is detected, it generates an internal power-fail signal that resets the system. Once the supply voltage returns to an acceptable level, the reset remains active for approximately 150ms to allow stabilization. It features a manual reset pushbutton that can override the automatic reset, with the reset line held low for about 150ms after the button is released. The supply voltage range is 0V to 5.5V, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. It provides an efficient active-low open-drain output with an internal 5.5kΩ pull-up resistor, and typically trips at 4.62V. The device includes an output capacitance of 10pF (at VCC = 1.2V to 5.5V). It is used primarily for system monitoring applications to automatically restart microprocessors after power failures and monitor external override pushbuttons. Due to high market demand, lead times may be extended, and delivery dates are uncertain. This product is exempt from discounts.
