The ICM7212AMIPL+ is a four-digit display decoder and driver integrated circuit in a 40-pin DIP package. It is designed to drive four-digit 7-segment LED displays, including input data latches, BCD to segment decoding, level shifting, and timing circuits. This microprocessor interface device features four BCD data inputs, two digit address lines, and two chip select or write inputs. It reduces system complexity and cost by eliminating the need for external level translators, segment drivers, and current-limiting resistors. Suitable for applications such as intelligent instruments, digital panel displays, remote display units, and microprocessor-to-visual communication, it operates with a supply voltage of 4V to 6V, and a temperature range from -20°C to 85°C. The display is a non-multiplexed common anode LED type, with increased segment current capability, low power consumption (around 25µW), and an operating current of approximately 10µA.
