The MAX11617EEE is a low-power, 12-channel, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) housed in a 16-pin QSOP package. It features internal track/hold (T/H), voltage reference, and clock, along with an I2C-compatible two-wire serial interface supporting fast mode (400 kHz) and high-speed mode (1.7 MHz). Operating at a maximum sampling rate of 94.4 ksps with only 670 μA of supply current, and less than 230 μA at rates below 46 ksps, it offers efficient power consumption. An AutoShutdown feature powers down the device between conversions, reducing supply current to under 1 μA at low throughput. The device's fully differential analog inputs can be configured via software for unipolar or bipolar modes, as well as single-ended or differential operation. The input range is determined by an internal 2.048V reference or an external voltage from 1V to VDD. It is suitable for battery-powered test equipment, solar-powered remote systems, received signal strength indicators, and system supervision.
