The Mega-Fit single row cable assemblies are off-the-shelf solutions designed to deliver a current rating of 25A. They are available in various cable lengths and feature a compact connector suitable for both prototyping and mass production. The assemblies include polarizing and unique keying features that protect terminals within the receptacle, ensure compatibility with all current Mega-Fit single row headers, and prevent electrical arcing when energized. An improved latch with grip steps provides excellent retention, while the individually polarized header further reduces the risk of mis-mating and electrical arcing. The new latch design allows for low-mating force and secure connection. These cable assemblies are ideal for use in commercial vehicles, home appliances, industrial equipment, and telecommunications. They feature a nylon housing with a high-conductivity copper contact, tin plating, and TPA (Terminal Position Assurance) to prevent terminal backout. The internal receptacle locking mechanism supports locking tangles and low insertion force during assembly. The housing complies with V0 and glow-wire European standards. Additionally, the design includes a TPA guide for proper insertion and is UL and CSA certified. Suitable for use with 12 AWG conductors, they support a maximum voltage of 600V AC/DC and operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. Maximum mating force is 6.8N, minimum unmating force is 5N, and they are rated for up to 25 mating cycles.
