The JTAG-SMT2 surface mount programming module is a compact, self-contained device designed for programming Xilinx FPGAs. It can be directly mounted onto a target PCB and reflowed like a standard component. The module utilizes a 3.3V power supply with a separate Vref supply for JTAG signals, supporting voltages between 1.8V and 5V. Equipped with high-speed, 24mA, three-state buffers, it allows signal speeds up to 30 Mbit/sec and can share JTAG lines with other devices at high impedance when not active. The module features a standard Micro-USB Type-A connector, compatible with USB 2.0, and supports various programming modes including JTAG and SPI. It is compatible with IEEE 1149.7-2009 standards (including 2-wire JTAG) and provides a GPIO pin for debugging and resetting Xilinx Zynq processing cores. Certified by CE, it includes an Analog Devices ADP123AUJZ linear regulator and is fully supported by Digilent's Adept software and SDK. The device is ideal for direct integration into PCB designs for efficient FPGA programming and debugging.
