The MAX5223EKA+T is a low-power, dual 8-bit voltage output serial DAC in an 8-pin SOT-23 package. It features a buffered output capable of sourcing and sinking up to 1mA, with output voltage within 100mV of ground and VDD. The device uses a 3-wire serial interface that supports clock rates up to 25MHz and is compatible with SPI, QSPI, and MICROWIRE standards. Its 16-bit serial input shift register contains 8 bits for DAC data and 8 bits for DAC selection and shutdown control. The DAC registers can be loaded independently or simultaneously at the positive edge of the chip select signal. It consumes low supply current—approximately 100µA in normal operation and below 1µA in shutdown mode—with the reference input disconnected during shutdown to reduce power consumption. The small package and ultra-low power make it ideal for battery-powered applications such as digital gain and offset adjustment, VCO tuning, and programmable current or voltage sources.
Enhance your designs with the MAXIM MAX5223EKAT dual 8-bit voltage output serial DAC. This compact, low-power device features buffered outputs sourcing and sinking up to 1mA, supports high-speed serial interfaces up to 25MHz, and operates from 2.7V to 5.5V. Perfect for digital gain, offset adjustment, VCO tuning, and programmable sources in portable electronics, embedded systems, and signal processing. Its minimal power consumption, high accuracy, and small SOT-23 package make it an excellent choice for space-constrained and energy-efficient applications, ensuring stability and precise control in your projects.
