This Mega-Fit female-to-Mega-Fit female off-the-shelf (OTS) cable assembly delivers a current rating of 25A and is available in various cable lengths. It features a compact connector designed for both prototyping and global production applications. The assembly includes polarizing and unique keying features to protect the terminals, ensure compatibility with all current Mega-Fit single-row headers, and prevent electrical arcing during charging. The new latch with grip steps provides superior retention and low-mating force. An individually polarized header helps prevent mis-mating and supports the keying system. The assembly's nylon housing meets V0 and glow-wire European safety standards, with a high-conductivity copper contact, tin plating, and underplating. It has an internal locking mechanism that supports tangling locking terminals with low insertion force, and features terminal backout prevention (TPA) with lead-in guides. Certified by UL and CSA, it is suitable for use with 12 AWG conductors, supporting a maximum voltage of 600V AC/DC, with operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C. The maximum mating force is 6.8N, the minimum unmating force is 5N, and it is rated for up to 25 mating cycles.
